Briareos
"Briareos" is an off-beat, experimental story inspired by a homework assignment given to my daughter last year. Briareos was one of the hekatonkeires, the hundred-handed monsters from Greek mythology. Although his full story was never told in one place, there are a surprising number of mentions of him scattered throughout the myths. The core idea of the story is musing on what it would be like to have fifty heads (and thus fifty minds), and how Briareos grows as the world changes around him.
