Too Far to Follow

"Too Far to Follow" is my first story set in the Archipelago, the asteroid belt in the 23rd century. It is a novelette dealing with journeys, loss, change, and the arc of life. A mysterious device lodged in the brain of a farming girl from Yris transports her thoughts to an alien world...

Approximate length: 14,700 words. Submitted to Fantasy and Science Fiction on March 16.
